How much LTK creators make is not published. LTK's own pages, read on 15 October 2026, give no average, median or tier-by-tier earnings for creators. They do state retailer commission ranges, weekly payouts and company-wide totals, such as the $450 million that brands invested in LTK creators over the 12 months before 1 September 2026.

Everything below comes from LTK's own pages: company.shopltk.com, its newsroom and its creator help and blog pages, read on 15 October 2026. LTK changes its pages without notice, so the date is a stamp, not a promise. Earnings quoted by creators, blogs or rival tools are left out.

What does LTK say its creators earn?

LTK states totals for the whole platform, never an amount per creator. The statements, with their dates:

  • 1 September 2026. LTK's release on its 2026 Awards says creators on LTK drive more than $6 billion in annual retail sales and that brands invested $450 million in LTK creators in the past 12 months. It also says over $3B has been invested in creators in total and that over 440 women have become self-made millionaires.
  • 24 September and 6 October 2026. The 24 September release refers to more than 500,000 vetted creators and says over 464 women have become self-made millionaires. The 6 October release says over 460.
  • 18 March 2026. The Quick Collabs release says over 400,000 qualified creators and $6 billion in annual retail sales.
  • LTK's company page, undated. It says LTK has produced "nearly 1,100 LTK millionaires across brands and creators."

What do those figures not tell you about a typical creator?

They tell you nothing about a typical creator, because each one is a total or a count, not an average.

  • Retail sales are not earnings. LTK's pages say a creator earns a commission on a sale, and the retailer sets the rate, so a creator receives a share of the sale.
  • "Invested" is brand spend. LTK does not say what counts as an invested dollar.
  • The creator count moved. It went from over 400,000 in March to more than 500,000 in September, and LTK does not say how many of them earned anything.
  • The millionaire counts mix groups. The company page counts brands as well as creators, and none of the releases says how LTK counts or over what period.

LTK does not divide one figure by another, and this page does not either.

What is the LTK commission rate?

Each retailer sets its own rate, and LTK's UK how-it-works page says the average runs from 10% to 25% and can reach up to 30%. The UK FAQ says brands usually offer between 10% and 25%. LTK's US pages we read name no range.

More detail from LTK's own pages:

  • Rates vary by brand and product. A creator help article published in October 2022 says each brand partner selects its own commission rate, and some exclude products or pay different rates by category.
  • The app labels brands High, Medium or Low. The same article gives net commission rates of 11% or more as High, 7% to 11% as Medium and 7% or less as Low. It does not define net.
  • The app compares rates. An LTK release of 5 September 2024 introduced Product Commission Comparison, which shows the rates brands and retailers offer for a product.

To see what a rate means, take a $100 order that is not returned: 10% is $10 and 25% is $25. That is arithmetic on LTK's stated range, not a claim about what any creator earns.

How does LTK pay creators?

LTK announced weekly commission payouts on 20 August 2024, and its UK FAQ says creators are paid regularly once commissions build up, taking the brand's return period into account. Three more points from LTK's own pages:

  • Returns come back out. The October 2022 article says items a shopper returns are deducted in the My Earnings tab.
  • Brand collaborations pay differently. LTK's creator blog, published in March 2022, says creators earn in two main ways, commissions on sold products and brand collaborations paid at an agreed rate. Since 18 March 2026, Quick Collabs are flat-fee campaigns that creators opt in to and are paid for within days of posting.
  • The payment help is closed. LTK's payment help article, which would hold the minimum and the payday, redirected to the creator login when we tried it on 15 October 2026, so this page states neither.

What decides what an LTK creator earns?

The things LTK's own pages name are the retailer's rate, whether the shopper's click still counts when they buy, returns, and which work you take on. The October 2022 article spells out the click rules:

  • The cookie window. A tracking cookie in the shopper's browser credits your link for a period set by each retailer. Most LTK partners' windows fall between 7 and 30 days, and average 7 to 14 days.
  • Another link can win. Your link can lose credit if the shopper clicks another creator's or affiliate's link first, uses a one-time promo code or clicks a search engine's tracking link.
  • The device matters. Cookies do not transfer between desktop and mobile, so a mobile click followed by a desktop purchase earns nothing.
  • LTK says Instagram has no cookie window. It says commission on direct product links shared on Instagram "will always be much lower," because the shopper must buy straight after tapping, without leaving the Instagram browser.
  • A free DM tool exists. LTK's release of 20 August 2024 describes LTK DM as a free, automatic direct message tool, with up to 10 trigger words per post of 20 characters each.

Is LTK worth it?

LTK costs nothing to launch, so the question is whether you can meet its entry bar and whether your audience buys from its retailers. LTK's launch page says you can launch and host your LTK for free, and publishes nothing that lets anyone say what you would earn. Four checks decide it:

  1. Can you get in? LTK's UK pages ask for at least 5,000 followers outside the US and Canada. Its US launch page lists a public profile, consistent original content and an engaged, growing audience, with no number. LTK decides each application.
  2. Are your retailers there? LTK's launch page lists 8,000 integrated retailers paying commission on sales. Look up the rate the app shows for the three you link most.
  3. How does your audience shop? If most of your sales would come from taps inside Instagram, LTK's own cookie notes say to expect less credit.
  4. Can you wait? Weekly payouts still follow each brand's return period, so a sale can take time to become payable.

For two platforms side by side, see ShopMy vs LTK, and for the wider list, affiliate programs for Instagram compared. If you want a comment to send an LTK link by DM, LTK DM does it inside LTK. A comment-to-DM tool such as inDM rewrites each link to count taps, and we found no public copy of LTK's creator agreement, so ask LTK whether that is allowed first. How Instagram affiliate marketing works covers labelling.

Where this stops working

  • No per-creator earnings. LTK publishes none, so none appears here.
  • Old help articles. The commission and cookie article dates from October 2022 and LTK may have changed it.
  • UK pages carry the rate range. The US pages we read give no commission range or follower number.
  • Counts disagree. LTK's millionaire counts differ between releases only weeks apart.
  • Unread documents. LTK's payment help sits behind a login, and we found no public copy of its creator agreement.

Before you apply, look up the rates LTK shows for your most-linked retailers, and judge LTK by those, not by the company totals.
