Data Deletion
You are always in control of your data. This page explains exactly how to delete the information inDM holds about you — including the Instagram data you authorized us to access — and how to revoke inDM's access to your Instagram account. It complements our Privacy Policy.

inDM connects to your Instagram Business or Creator account — with your permission, through Meta's official platform — to automate replies to comments, story replies, and direct messages. Because we handle Instagram data on your behalf, you can remove that data, and revoke our access, at any time using any of the methods below.
Delete your data — four ways
- Disconnect Instagram inside inDM. Open inDM, go to Settings → Instagram, and disconnect your account. This immediately stops all data access and removes the associated Instagram data (profile, media, comments, messages, and contacts created by your automations) from our systems.
- Revoke access at Instagram. On Instagram, go to Settings → Apps and Websites, select inDM, and remove it. This immediately revokes the permissions you granted us. We treat the resulting signal as an instruction to delete the data tied to that connection.
- Delete your inDM account. In Settings → Account, choose Delete account. This erases your inDM account and its associated data, subject to the limited legal retention described in our Privacy Policy.
- Request deletion by email. Write to us at privacy@bloom.social with the subject "Data deletion request" and the Instagram username or inDM account email you want removed. We will delete your data and confirm within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your data by any method above, we remove:
- Your Instagram profile details, account ID, and username as stored by inDM.
- Your synced media (posts, reels, and stories) and their metadata.
- The comments, direct messages, and story replies we processed to run your automations.
- The contacts your automations created, including any email addresses captured through an email gate.
- Your automation configuration and analytics tied to the account.
Timing
We complete deletion within 30 days of your request. Disconnecting your account or revoking access at Instagram stops all further data access immediately. We may retain a limited amount of information only where the law requires it, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements — and only for as long as necessary. Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you may be kept.
