One message, to everyone you can reach
A drop, a live, a cohort reopening. Write it once and it goes to everyone who has been in touch with you today, with an honest count before you press send and a result for every person after.
How it works
The audience is counted, not chosen
There is nothing to segment and no list to build. Everyone who sent you a DM, replied to one of your stories, or tapped a button in one of your automations in the last 24 hours is reachable, and that is exactly who a broadcast goes to. The number on the button is the number the send uses, worked out from your own conversation history at the moment you press it.
You write one message
The same editor your automations use, with the same live preview, so you see the DM the way Instagram will show it before anything leaves. Add your links if you want them, up to the three Instagram allows in one message.
It goes out through your account's own lane
A broadcast shares the send lane with your automations, under the pace Instagram allows each account. Nothing jumps the queue and nothing is dropped to make room. A large broadcast takes a while, and the builder says so in words rather than printing a countdown it cannot honour.
You see what happened to each person
Reached, couldn't reach, window closed first, going out, replied. On Growth you also see who clicked and where they were. Someone whose 24 hours lapsed mid-send is recorded as exactly that, because a closed conversation is a fact about Instagram rather than a failure to hide.

What it turns into
Where it shines
Questions, answered plainly
Who actually receives a broadcast?
Everyone your account is allowed to message right now: people who sent you a DM, replied to one of your stories, or tapped a button in one of your automations in the last 24 hours. Instagram does not let a business start a conversation, so a broadcast continues conversations that already exist. It is worked out from your own message history at the moment you press send, not from a saved list.
Can I broadcast to all my followers?
No, and no tool on Instagram's official API can. Messaging someone who has never written to you is not something the platform permits, whoever builds the tool. Any product promising DMs to your whole follower list is either describing something else or working outside the rules, which is a risk to your account rather than a feature.
How long does a broadcast take to send?
It depends on how many people are in it, because a broadcast shares your account's send lane with your automations under the pace Instagram allows. A small one is quick. A large one runs for a while, and your automations keep working alongside it rather than waiting behind it. We would rather say that than print an estimate we cannot stand behind.
What happens to someone whose 24 hours runs out mid-send?
The send is skipped and recorded with that reason, so you can see it happened. The conversation is re-checked at the moment each message goes out rather than when you pressed send, which is why a long broadcast can finish with fewer delivered than the count you started with. Nothing is sent late and nothing fails quietly.
Can I schedule one, or cancel one that is running?
There is no scheduling: a broadcast sends when you press send, which is when you know the thing you are announcing is actually live. You can cancel one that is still going, and anything not yet sent stops. Messages already delivered cannot be recalled, the same as any DM.
Is it on the free plan?
Broadcasts come with Growth, at $4.99 for the first month and $14.99 a month after that. On Free you can open the builder, see your live audience count and preview the message, so you can tell whether it is worth it before you decide.
