The pricing delta
InstantDM, checked 2026-08-14. Free forever at 500 DMs a month. Legend Pro at $12/mo month-to-month or $9.99/mo billed yearly. Trendsetter at $29.99/mo or $24.99/mo billed yearly. Yearly billing gives two months free, which is exactly what reconciles the two sets of figures. Their pricing page loads with the yearly toggle pre-selected.
inDM, as of 2026-08-12. Free forever at 1,000 messages a month. Growth at $9.99 for 10,000 or $19.99 for 30,000, plus $1 per extra 1,000 above. All month-to-month — we do not sell an annual plan, so there is no discounted rate hiding behind a toggle.
The comparison people get wrong: InstantDM's $9.99 and inDM's $9.99 are not the same price. Theirs requires a year up front; ours does not. Against their true month-to-month rate of $12, we are cheaper by $2.01 a month with no commitment.
The allowance shapes differ too. Theirs is "unlimited", bounded in their own comparison table at 750/hr — which is Meta's ceiling, not a product limit. Ours is a stated 10,000 or 30,000 messages a month. If your sending is steady, a number you can count is easier to plan against. If it is violently spiky, theirs may suit you better, and that is a real consideration rather than a throwaway.

Check whether you use their API
Trendsetter includes API access and webhooks. inDM does not publish an API, so anything you have wired into your own stack will not carry across. Decide that before you move, not after.
Connect Instagram to inDM
Sign up and connect through Instagram's own login — inDM never sees your password. Connect every account you run; there is no cap and no per-account charge.
Rebuild, verify, then retire
Open My Content, pick the post, set the keyword, write the DM, and check the live preview — it renders exactly as Instagram will. Keep InstantDM connected while you verify, pausing each of their automations as its inDM replacement goes live so two tools don't answer the same keyword.

Is inDM actually cheaper than InstantDM?
Month-to-month, yes: $9.99 against their $12 for Legend Pro. Their $9.99 is the annual-billing rate, which requires a year up front. On annual terms the two are level, except inDM does not sell an annual plan at all — the monthly price is the only price.
What do I lose by leaving InstantDM?
API access and webhooks, which their Trendsetter tier includes and inDM does not publish. If you have wired InstantDM into your own stack, that work does not carry across. Their viral-mode tooling is also marketed as a distinct surface, where we simply pace sends under the same Meta limits.
Will my sending speed change?
No. Both tools run on Instagram's official Graph API and sit under the same ceiling of roughly 750 private replies per hour per account. That limit is Meta's and applies per account rather than per tool, so no product can send faster than another.
