When will your next follower milestone arrive?

Type your followers today and your growth. You get your daily pace and a projected date for 1K, 5K, 10K, 50K, 100K and a goal of your own, drawn as a straight line.

Every number here is yours. Nothing is pre-filled, and nothing is saved, so write your count in a note if you want to compare it next month.

From a note or a screenshot you took at the time.

Any day before today.

Type your followers today and your growth, and the dates appear as you type.

This is a straight-line projection. It adds the same number of followers every day, which real growth rarely does, so read the dates as where your own recent pace points, not as a forecast. How to get more Instagram followers.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type here is stored or sent anywhere.

Table of contents

An Instagram follower milestone tracker turns your followers today and your followers on an earlier date into a daily pace and a projected date for 1K, 5K, 10K, 50K and 100K. Add a goal of your own and it gets a row too. The dates are a straight line from your own pace, and nothing you type is saved.

How does this follower growth calculator work?

It divides the distance to each milestone by the number of followers you add in a day. There are two ways to give it that daily pace. Pick an earlier date and type your count on it, or choose "Followers gained over a period" and type the gain with the length of the period in days, using a minus sign if you lost followers. Both routes end at one figure: followers a day.

Each row of the table is then plain arithmetic. Followers to go is the milestone minus your followers today. Time on this line is that number divided by your daily pace, and the projected date is today plus those days. A milestone you have already passed reads Reached. If your count is flat or falling, the row says so, because a straight line that does not climb never arrives.

When will I reach 10K followers?

On a straight line, you reach 10K after the followers you still need, divided by the followers you add each day. Here is a made-up example, only to show the steps. Say you have 4,200 followers today and you had 3,600 thirty days ago. That is 600 gained in 30 days, or 20 a day. You still need 5,800 to reach 10,000, and 5,800 divided by 20 is 290 days, a little under 10 months. Type your own numbers and the 10K row gives your date.

The same sum works for any target. Type 25000, or whatever you are aiming for, into the goal box and it gets its own row between the standard ones. If you are still choosing a goal, Instagram goals for creators is a place to start.

Where do I find my follower numbers?

Your profile shows your count today, and Instagram's Insights shows how many followers you gained or lost over a period. Open your profile, then tap Professional dashboard if you have a professional account, or Your dashboard if you have a personal one. Instagram's Help Center says the Total followers insight includes growth, the number of followers you gained or lost, once you have at least 100 followers, and that you can pick a preset or custom time frame within the past 90 days (Instagram Help Center, read 23 October 2026). The Instagram Insights entry gives the short definition.

That 90 day window shapes how you use the tool. If your screen shows growth for the time frame you chose, type that figure with the number of days. A starting point older than 90 days has to come from a count you wrote down yourself.

How long a stretch should I use?

Use a stretch that looks like how you post now, and start with 30 days. A pace drawn from three days can swing a lot, and a pace drawn from a year ago can describe an account you no longer run. Run the tool again with 7 days and with 90 days and compare. If the three dates are close, your pace is steady. If they are far apart, your growth comes in bursts, and a range is a more honest answer than one date.

Does reaching a follower milestone unlock anything?

Some Instagram features have a follower minimum, and a few fall on the milestones in the table. Instagram's Help Center says a public account needs 1,000 followers or more to start a live video, that Gifts needs at least 500 followers, and that subscriptions need a professional account with at least 10,000 followers (Instagram Help Center, read 23 October 2026). Each is one condition among several, such as age, policy and country, and Instagram can change them, so read the feature's own Help Center page before you plan around a number. The guide to how many followers you need to make money on Instagram lists more.

Where this stops working

  • It is a straight line. The tool adds the same number of followers every day. Growth that arrives in bursts, such as a reel that travels, breaks that picture in both directions.
  • It knows only the two numbers you give it. It reads nothing from Instagram, so a typo gives a wrong date. Check each box before you copy a result.
  • It cannot say why you grew or why you stopped. The line describes a pace and offers no cause. How to get more Instagram followers is where to look for ways to change the pace.
  • It saves nothing. Close the page and your numbers go. Write your count and the date in a note, and next month you will have your own earlier number to use.
  • Insights looks back 90 days. For an older starting point you need your own record.
  • The feature minimums are dated. The follower figures above come from Instagram's Help Center as read on 23 October 2026, and Instagram can change them.
  • It gives no grade. There is no good or poor pace here, because we hold no sourced benchmark and will not invent one.

Pick the milestone you are aiming for and read its date, then check it against your next count. If you mark it with a post that promises a link, inDM's free comment-to-DM automation sends that link to everyone who comments your keyword.

How to use it

Type your followers today

Open your profile and read your follower count. Type it into the first box.

Give it your growth

Choose your count on an earlier date and pick that date, or choose followers gained over a period and type the gain with its length in days. Insights shows followers gained or lost for a time frame you pick within the past 90 days.

Add a goal if you have one

Type a number of your own, such as 25000. It gets its own row in the table, placed in order with the standard milestones.

Read the dates, then try another stretch

Run the tool again with a different period, such as 7, 30 and 90 days. If the dates are close, your pace is steady. If they are far apart, read the result as a range.

Copy the line and note the date

Copy the summary into a note with today's date. Next month your own earlier count gives you a fresh starting point.

Good to know

Questions, answered plainly

How accurate is a follower projection?

It is exact arithmetic on a guess. The tool adds the same number of followers every day, and real growth is uneven. A reel that travels or a quiet month can move the real date far from the projected one, so use the result as a direction and run it again with a fresh count.

Can I use this as an Instagram follower goal tracker?

Yes, for the goal part. Type a goal of your own and it gets a row with a projected date. The tool saves nothing, so it tracks nothing between visits. Write your count and the date in a note, and use that note the next time you run it.

What if my follower count is going down?

Type it as it is. The table then says a straight line moves away from each milestone, and it gives no date. A shorter and more recent period may describe your account today better than a long one.

Does the tool connect to Instagram or save my numbers?

No. It reads nothing from Instagram, asks for no login and stores nothing. The sums run on this page, and nothing you type is logged or sent anywhere.

Where does Instagram show followers gained or lost?

In Insights, under Total followers, once you have at least 100 followers. Instagram's Help Center, read 23 October 2026, says you can pick a preset or custom time frame within the past 90 days.
