Mavely is an affiliate network that pays creators commission when people buy through their links, and since 1 September 2026 it has operated under the name Later. Joining is free, with no application and no follower minimum, according to Later's own pages. Your links, commission rates and payout schedule carried over unchanged, Later says.

Everything below comes from Mavely's and Later's own pages, read on 13 October 2026: the Later announcement, joinmavely.com, Later's creator page and Apple's App Store listing. Mavely's help center and its terms sit behind a security check that blocked us, so the gaps that leaves are named where they matter. Both companies can change any of this, so treat the date as a stamp, not a promise.

What is Mavely?

Mavely is a platform where a creator turns a product link from a partner retailer into a tracked link, shares it anywhere and earns commission when someone buys. Later's own post says Later acquired Mavely in January 2025, and Later's press release of 1 September 2026 says that from that day the network operates as Later. The Mavely name still appears on joinmavely.com, whose footer reads Mavely, LLC, a Later company.

Is the Mavely app still called Mavely?

No. On Apple's App Store the listing that carried the Mavely name is now Later Creator: Earn via Social, and its release notes for version 15.0.0, dated 1 September, say Mavely is now Later. Later's post says you need no new account and no password reset, only an update of the app. The post also says the mave.ly links you already shared keep working and that Later will give notice if anything changes.

How does Mavely work?

You make a link, share it anywhere and earn when a shopper buys. The steps, from Later's and Mavely's pages:

  1. Make a link. Paste a product address into the app or the web dashboard, or use the browser extension for Chrome and Safari. Later's guide calls the result a SmartLink and says it tracks clicks, conversions and sales.
  2. Share it. Later's creator page says you can share links on a social account, a blog, a newsletter or a link-in-bio tool. Mavely's own guide lists Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube, plus text messages and email newsletters.
  3. Collect it in MyShop. Mavely's guide describes MyShop as a storefront you link from your bio, built from curated pages and shoppable posts.
  4. Earn in more than one way. Mavely's platform page lists affiliate commission, paid brand campaigns, a monthly bonus program and a 10% referral commission. Mavely's guide says that is 10% of a referred creator's commissions for their first six months.
  5. Get paid. Later's post says payouts land on the 1st and 15th of every month. Mavely's platform page describes them as biweekly and paid 45 days after purchase. The two pages describe the timing differently, so check your own dashboard.

Later's post adds that more is coming: over the next few weeks you will see opportunities from Later's brand network, and you will soon be able to browse and apply to campaigns inside the platform. Instagram's Help Center, read 12 October 2026, says a profile can hold up to five links, so a MyShop link can sit beside your others.

Who can join Mavely, and what does it cost?

Joining is free, and nothing has to be approved. Mavely's platform page says there are no follower minimums and no applications, and Later's creator page says there are no fees, applications or follower minimums. The App Store listing says there is no approval process. After signing up, Mavely's guide asks you to link your social profiles and set up your payment details.

These pages do not say which countries can join. We found no country list, so check the sign-up flow itself before you plan around it.

What does Mavely pay?

It depends on the brand, and we found no public rate card. Mavely's platform page publishes no brand commission rates, and Later's post says commission rates did not change when the name did. Two things move your earnings beyond the base rate:

  • Boosts. Mavely's bonus-tier post describes Boosts as temporary commission increases applied to your account automatically, and Mavely's guide says they appear in your Opportunities feed.
  • The monthly bonus. Mavely's platform page says it can add up to 25% on top of your earnings, and its guide says the bonuses are meant to be reachable by newer creators. The bonus-tier post names three tiers, at $17,000, $27,000 and $42,500 of commission in a month, paid 30 days after the month ends. That post is undated and points to a fuller tier table in the help center, which we could not read, so check the tiers in your own app before you count on a bonus.

Mavely's pages also compare its earnings and payout speed with other platforms. The comparisons give no method, so this page quotes none of those figures.

What rules do Mavely creators have to follow?

Disclose every link, keep your account details current and stay out of the practices Mavely names. Mavely's compliance page for creators sets out the detail:

  • Disclosure. Add a disclosure to each link you share, on every channel where you share it, saying you may earn commission on purchases. For static posts, Mavely suggests a clear word such as ad, advertisement or sponsored. For video, say it in the video and in the description.
  • Not allowed. Bidding on a brand's trademark in search ads, bidding on a brand's coupon terms, promoting glitches, errors or unethical coupon codes, and giving misleading account information.
  • Account details. Keep a valid email address, your payout method and every social handle you will use to promote Mavely links up to date.

Breaking the rules can end your place on the platform, and the page gives compliance@joinmavely.com for questions.

Instagram allows it in general: someone comments a keyword, and the automation replies in public and sends one private message with a link, within 7 days of the comment. Mavely itself points creators this way. Mavely's creator guide recommends a comment-to-DM tool, LinkDM, to send affiliate links automatically to anyone who comments a keyword. That guide is undated, and we could not confirm the integration survived the move to Later. What we could not read is Mavely's Terms of Use and Partner Agreement, so the rules on where links may go and how they may be wrapped are unchecked. Four things to settle:

  1. Put your Instagram handle in your Mavely account. The compliance page asks for every handle you promote with.
  2. Open the DM with the disclosure. Mavely wants one with every shared link. Put it first in the message, and keep it on the public post too.
  3. Whether a rewritten link still tracks. inDM swaps each link it delivers for an address on its own redirect domain, which is how it counts taps, then forwards the person on (how that tracking works). A mave.ly link already tracks through Mavely, and we have not tested, or asked Mavely, whether the extra step changes how a sale is credited.
  4. Follow and email asks. We found nothing from Mavely on them. Until you have an answer, send the link in the first message and leave both gates off.

Ask Mavely through compliance@joinmavely.com or its help center before you build it. If the answer is yes, setup is ordinary: follow the comment-to-DM setup guide and see how affiliate creators run it. The same questions come up for the Walmart Creator program, and ShopMy asks you to apply before you can join.

Where this stops working

  • The terms are unread. Mavely's help center, Terms of Use and Partner Agreement sit behind a security check that blocked our reader, so nothing here says what they allow.
  • No rates. We found no public rate card, so no rate is quoted.
  • Dates conflict. Payout timing is described two ways, and the bonus post carries no date.
  • No country list. We found no statement of which countries can join.
  • The rename is new. Later says more changes are coming over the next few weeks, so pages that still say Mavely may lag behind.
  • DMs are unanswered. Nothing we could read from Mavely or Later addresses links sent by direct message, apart from the LinkDM recommendation, and nothing here is their answer.

Knowing that Mavely now runs as Later, and what its own guide says about DMs, leaves one thing to confirm before a Mavely link goes into an automation: that a link wrapped for click counting still credits your account.
