A day with inDM

8:00 am

Your accounts post the morning's reels

Each reel's automation went live with it, set up by your publishing script through inDM's API, so the first comment gets the link.

12:30 pm

One hook takes off on one account

Every comment with the word gets the install link in a DM, tagged for that account, and the messages leave at a steady pace that keeps the account in good standing.

4:00 pm

A new persona account joins the roster

Connect it to the workspace and start the automation the other accounts run from a saved template. Only the post and the link change.

Monday

Which account and which hook drove installs

inDM shows each automation's comments, messages and link taps. Your attribution tool reads the installs by the tag on each account's link.

What you'll actually use

One subscription for every account

Up to 15 Instagram accounts for $39 a month on Agency Lite, or 30 for $99 on Agency Pro and $3 for each one after. No plan counts messages or contacts.

A tagged link for each account

Each account's automation carries its own link, so your attribution tool can credit an install to the account and the reel that earned it.

Templates

Save the automation that works on one account and start it on the next. The keyword, the messages and the replies come with it.

An API for your own code

Create, check and set automations live from a script, with one key for every account in the workspace. It works on every plan.

ChatGPT, by asking

Draft, check and set automations live in a chat, through inDM's plugin in ChatGPT's plugin directory.

Link taps by account

Who tapped each link, and from which country, on Growth and the agency plans.

The destination

Every hook that lands turns its comments into installs, on every account, while your team writes the next one.

Your accounts bring the views. inDM makes sure every comment that asks for the link gets it.

Good to know

Questions, answered plainly

Can one inDM workspace run comment-to-DM automation on many UGC accounts?

Yes. One inDM workspace holds every Instagram account a team runs, on one subscription. Growth holds up to 5 accounts for $14.99 a month after 7 days free, Agency Lite holds up to 15 for $39 a month, and Agency Pro holds 30 for $99 a month, then $3 a month for each one after. Each account keeps its own automations, contacts and numbers, and you switch between them from the top bar.

How do UGC accounts send an app install link from a comment?

The reel asks viewers to comment one word, and a comment-to-DM automation sends each commenter a private reply with a button that opens the App Store, Play Store or a web page. Give each account its own tagged link, so your attribution tool can tell which account and which reel the install came from. The full walk-through is at indm.social/blog/how-ugc-accounts-send-app-links.

Can inDM tell which UGC account drove an install?

inDM shows comments, messages sent and, on Growth and the agency plans, link taps for each account. Installs are counted by your attribution tool or your app store console, so give each account's automation its own tagged link and read installs by that tag. How to set the tags up is at indm.social/blog/track-app-installs-from-instagram-ugc.

Can I set up automations for many accounts from code?

Yes. inDM's API at https://api.indm.social/v1 creates comment-to-DM automations from your own code on every plan. A script can fetch a reel published moments ago, create the automation on it as a draft, check it and set it live, and one API key reaches every Instagram account in the workspace. No message is sent through the API itself.

Does Instagram allow a brand to run UGC or persona accounts?

Instagram allows one person or brand to run more than one account. It polices unoriginal content, AI-generated people without a label, and accounts that mislead people about who runs them, so each account should post original content and be clear about what it promotes. The rules, with sources, are at indm.social/blog/what-are-ugc-accounts.
