Pick your Instagram giveaway winner at random

Paste your entries, remove repeats, leave out your own account, and draw winners and alternates by chance. Free, no login, and nothing leaves your browser.

Paste your entries above. The tool reads them as you type.

Choose the second option when your lines are comments in which people tag friends: the commenter comes first, the friends after.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type here is stored or sent anywhere.

This Instagram giveaway picker draws winners at random from a list of entries you paste in, with no login, no account and nothing sent anywhere. Choose how many winners and alternates you want, press Draw winners, and copy a result that carries the time of the draw and the counts behind it.

How do I pick a winner on an Instagram giveaway?

Collect the entries into one list, draw once, keep a record of the draw, and tell the winner. The steps in order:

  1. Write down what counts as an entry before you post. Instagram's promotion guidelines make you responsible for the official rules and for eligibility terms such as age and where entrants live. They also say a promotion must include a complete release of Instagram by each entrant and an acknowledgement that Instagram does not sponsor, endorse or run it (Instagram Help Center, read 14 October 2026). The wording for both is in Instagram giveaway rules and a terms template.
  2. Build the list. One username per line works best. If you paste comment text instead, the picker pulls out every @username it finds.
  3. Leave out anyone who should not win, such as your own account or a co-host.
  4. Draw. The picker shows the draw time, and Copy results saves it with the counts.
  5. Announce the winner and keep your record. Ask the winner to reply by a date you stated in your rules.

Is there an Instagram giveaway picker that is free with no login?

Yes, this one. It never connects to Instagram, so there is nothing to log in to. It sees only the text you paste, it runs in your browser, and your list is not stored or sent to us or to anyone else. Close the tab and the list is gone, so copy the result first.

The trade is that the picker takes your list on trust. It cannot fetch your comments and it cannot check that anyone followed you, tagged a friend or lives where your rules say they must.

Is this an Instagram comment picker?

Partly. It picks from comments you bring to it, and it does not load them from your post. Tools that load comments for you exist, and they ask you to connect your account. Comment Picker's own page, read on 14 October 2026, says you log in with Instagram or Facebook, need a Business or Creator account, and can read up to 100 comments on its free plan. The best Instagram giveaway tools compares it with five others, each from the vendor's own site.

Where do I get the list of entrants?

You have three routes. Copy the usernames from the comments by hand, which works for a small giveaway. Use a tool that loads the comments for you. Or ask for a comment with one keyword and let comment-to-DM automation collect the entries as they arrive. inDM does the third: when someone comments your keyword, it sends them a confirmation by DM, and your contacts list exports as a CSV with an Instagram handle column you can paste in here. The export lists every contact, so trim it to the people who entered. The full setup is in how to run an Instagram giveaway with comment automation.

How does the draw stay fair?

The picker uses the cryptographically secure random number generator built into your browser. A simple shuffle can slightly favour some places in a list. This one throws away any random number that would tilt the odds and draws again, so every person has the same chance.

Each person counts once. The picker ignores capital letters, so @Maya and @maya are one entry, and it shows how many repeats it removed. Winners come first and alternates follow in order, all from a single draw.

In the UK, rule 8.24 of the CAP Code asks for prize draw winners to be chosen by a computer process that produces verifiably random results, or by an independent person. The ASA's advice says it expects evidence, and it upheld complaints about a draw where a member of staff scrolled the comments and picked by hand (ASA advice, read 14 October 2026). A time-stamped copy and a screen recording of the draw are the records you can keep. The giveaway rules page covers the UK rules in full.

Where this stops working

  • It trusts your list. The picker cannot see Instagram, so it cannot tell a real comment from a pasted one or check any condition in your rules.
  • Everyone counts once. There are no bonus entries. If your rules give extra chances for extra actions, you must track those yourself.
  • Nothing is stored. We keep no record of your draw, so the copy you save is the only one.
  • A redraw is a new draw. Redrawing until you like the result defeats the point. Decide in your rules when a redraw is allowed, such as a winner who does not reply by a set date, and use the alternates for that.
  • It cannot message winners. You tell them yourself.
  • It is not legal advice, and it cannot promise that a record satisfies any regulator.

Pick in public, save the copy, and the giveaway is settled in a couple of minutes.

How to use it

Paste your entries

One username per line, or paste comment text that holds @usernames. The tool reads the text as you type and tells you how many entries it found.

Leave out anyone who should not win

Add your own account, a co-host or staff to the leave-out box. Repeats are removed on their own, and capital letters are ignored, so @Maya and @maya count once.

Choose winners and alternates

Alternates are drawn at the same time as winners and kept in order. If a winner does not reply, you already know who is next without drawing again.

Draw, then copy the record

Press Draw winners. The result shows the time of the draw. Copy results saves it with the counts, and Redraw runs a fresh draw from the same list.

Questions, answered plainly

Do I need to log in to Instagram to use this giveaway picker?

No. The picker never connects to Instagram, so it needs no login, no account and no payment. It sees only the text you paste into it, and the page runs in your browser, so your list is not stored or sent anywhere. The cost of that is that it cannot load your comments for you.

Can it pick winners straight from my Instagram comments?

Not by itself. You paste the entries in. Tools that read comments from a post for you exist, and they ask you to connect your Instagram account. If you collect entries with a keyword comment and an automation, the contacts list exports as a CSV with an Instagram handle column that you can paste into the picker.

Is the draw random?

The picker uses the secure random number generator built into your browser, and it discards any number that would favour some entries over others, so every person has the same chance. What it cannot do is prove that to a third party. For that, keep the copied result and record your screen while you draw.

How many alternates should I draw?

As many as you are willing to use. Draw them in the same draw as the winners, so nobody can say a name was chosen later. The ASA's advice for UK prize draws says that if a winner cannot be reached despite best efforts the prize need not be awarded, and that some promoters give it to the runner up. Whichever you choose, write it in your rules before you post.

Does the picker keep my list of entries?

No. The list stays in your browser tab. Nothing is saved on our side and nothing is sent, so closing the tab clears it. Use Copy results before you leave if you want a record of the draw.
