Meta Verified is worth it if a copied or locked profile would cost you more than the fee, and the benefits Meta lists match what you need. Meta's own pages, read on 23 October 2026, list Standard at $14.99 a month per profile and say plans, benefits and prices vary by region, app and account.
This page is a checklist, not a verdict. Every price and benefit below comes from Meta's own pages, read on 23 October 2026. Meta changes plans and prices, so check the figure your own app shows before you pay.
What is the Meta Verified price for each plan?
Meta lists four creator plans at $14.99, $49.99, $149.99 and $499.99 a month, each per profile. The table is from the Meta Verified page on meta.com.
| Plan | Price | Where you can sign up |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $14.99 a month per profile | Web or mobile app |
| Plus | $49.99 a month per profile | Mobile app only |
| Premium | $149.99 a month per profile | Mobile app only |
| Max | $499.99 a month per profile | Mobile app only |
Meta says where the price changes:
- Region and app. Meta says features, availability and pricing may vary by region and app. Its FAQ says Standard costs USD 11.99 in most regions when you subscribe from the web and USD 14.99 within the app, and that starting the sign-up flow shows the price for your market.
- Two profiles. Meta says verifying one Instagram and one Facebook profile together gets you a discounted price.
- Business accounts. Meta's business page lists the same four prices, charged per Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp phone number. It says Meta decides which plans a business is offered, based on its activity on Meta's apps, and that Standard bought on a desktop in New Zealand is USD 11.99 a month.
- Renewal. Meta Verified renews automatically until you cancel.
What are the Meta Verified benefits for creators?
Every creator plan includes a verified badge, impersonation protection and enhanced support, and the higher plans add more. Meta's pages describe them this way:
- Verified badge. Meta says the badge means your profile was verified by Meta, based on your activity across Meta technologies or on information or documents you provided. Its Help Center adds that a verified badge is not a symbol of importance, authority or subject matter expertise.
- Impersonation protection. Meta says it monitors proactively and removes accounts it determines are pretending to be you.
- Enhanced support. Meta lists 24/7 chat or email with agents on Standard. Higher plans add faster resolution, a call from an agent and active case monitoring.
- Search placement. Meta's business page describes search optimisation as appearing higher in search results when people are searching for you.
- Featured profile. The same page describes a chance of being featured in Feed and introduced to new audiences.
- Links in Reels. Counted per month from Plus up: two on Plus and four on Premium. Standard has none, and links in direct messages need no subscription.
- Smaller extras. Images on your profile links (not yet in all regions, says Meta), exclusive stickers, custom chat themes on Premium and Max, and strategy advice on Max.
Meta's plan table groups search placement, a featured profile and links in Reels under discovery, but it promises no extra reach or views.
What does Meta Verified for business include?
Meta Verified for business uses the same four prices as the creator plans, charged per Facebook Page, Instagram account or WhatsApp phone number. Meta's business page says you subscribe from your professional Instagram account or Facebook business Page, and that you can cancel at any time. Not sure which you have? See creator vs business accounts.
The business page adds an enhanced profile, with images on your links, several business addresses and other brands you want to show. It also lists links in Reels on Plus and above and protection for named employees on Premium and Max. Meta says subscribing on both Facebook and Instagram to the same plan type takes 20% off the total.
Meta's creator pages list Instagram personal and professional creator profiles as eligible. A business uses the separate business plans, and Meta says every plan may not be available to a given business.
What is Meta One, and does it change the choice?
Meta One is a new Meta subscription that Meta says builds on Meta Verified, and its creator and business plans start at the same $14.99 a month. Meta announced it on 15 September 2026. Meta says Meta Verified focuses on identity, meaning a verified badge and impersonation protection, while Meta One includes those plus enhanced features and more AI usage across its apps.
Meta's newsroom post lists the creator and business plans:
| Meta One plan | Starting price | What Meta's post says it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | $14.99 a month | Tools to manage your presence, more Meta Business Agent access on WhatsApp, a verified badge and impersonation protection once verified |
| Advanced | $49.99 a month | Scheduling Stories up to 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights, team access without sharing your password |
| Expert and Max | $149 and $499 a month | The highest levels of feature access and Meta Business Agent capacity for teams |
Three points matter for your decision. First, the post lists no agent support for Essential, while Meta Verified Standard lists chat and email support, so check the plan details in your app. Second, Meta says nothing changes for current Meta Verified subscribers at the moment. Third, Meta's pages describe the rollout differently: the newsroom post says plans are now available globally, while a Meta Help Center page says Meta One is in limited testing and not available everywhere yet. Your app shows what you can buy.
Which five questions decide whether to subscribe?
Answer five questions, weighing the fee against what you would lose.
- Would a copy of your profile cost you sales or trust? Impersonation protection is the benefit Meta describes most specifically: proactive monitoring, and removal of accounts it determines are pretending to be you.
- Do you need a person to answer when something breaks? Only subscribers can reach Meta Verified Support, and Meta's footnote says chat and email support may not reach every subscriber. Start the sign-up flow to see what your account gets.
- Do people look for you by name? Meta's wording on search placement covers searches for you, not searches for a topic.
- Do you need links in Reels? Standard has none. Plus has two a month and Premium four.
- Can you meet the rules? Meta's Help Center asks you to be 18 or the age of majority where you live, live in a country where Meta Verified is available, hold a government photo ID, meet minimum activity requirements and turn on Advanced Protection, which cannot be switched off while you subscribe. After verification you may not be able to change your username or date of birth without applying again.
Cancelling has its own rules. Meta says to cancel at least 24 hours before your next payment date, that it gives no credits or partial refunds, and that benefits, including support, end when your billing cycle ends. You cancel where you signed up: on the web, through Apple or through Google Play.
Our own rule of thumb, not Meta's: two or more clear yes answers mean the fee buys something you would otherwise lose, and no yes answers make waiting a reasonable choice.
Do you need Meta Verified to use DM automation?
No. A verified badge and an automation tool's approval are different things. Meta Verified is a subscription on a profile. Meta Tech Provider is Meta's approval for a software company: Meta's developer documentation says an app that needs to access business data owned by other business portfolios must become a Tech Provider, which takes additional data questions and approval through App Review. inDM is an approved Meta Tech Provider, and approval is not an endorsement. DM automation needs a Business or Creator professional account, not a subscription. See what a Meta Tech Provider is, whether you need Meta Verified to put a link in an Instagram DM and how Instagram DM automation works.
Where this stops working
- Prices move and differ by place. We read Meta's pages in US dollars. Meta says your price depends on region, app and account, and its sign-up flow shows your local figure.
- Meta's pages disagree in places. The FAQ on Meta's Meta Verified page lists Premium at $49.99, while its plan table says $149.99, so we used the table. Meta's pages also give different Max counts for links in Reels, so we left that number out.
- No outcome figures. We found no Meta statement of how subscribers' reach or sales change. Meta's business page quotes subscribers who mention reach, but a quote is not a plan benefit.
- We did not subscribe. The checklist rests on what Meta publishes, not on our own use of the plans.
Answer the five questions, check the price your own app shows, and you will know whether the fee covers something you would otherwise lose.
