Why it matters for creators

Professional is the category; Business and Creator are the two types inside it. The distinction people actually need is the one between personal and professional, because that is the line every tool depends on.

A personal account cannot be automated at all. Not by us, not by any competitor, not partially — Meta's messaging API simply does not serve them, so there is no workaround and no tool that has found one. If something claims to automate a personal account, that claim is wrong.

Switching is free, reversible, and takes about a minute in settings. The one thing to know before you do it is that professional accounts cannot be private. Everything else — the Insights panel, the messaging API, the contact buttons — is added rather than taken away. Choosing between Business and Creator afterwards matters much less than most guides suggest; the API treats them nearly identically.
