Click-through rate
Why it matters for creators
Click-through rate is the step where a funnel usually leaks without anyone noticing, because everything above it looks healthy. The automation fired, the DM arrived, the numbers are green — and the link went unopened.
DM click-through tends to run far above email or ads, for a structural reason: the person asked for this link, by name, a moment ago. That is a warmer starting point than any other channel offers. When it does come in low, the cause is usually the message rather than the link — a delivery that arrives without the context that was promised, or a button label that does not name what it opens.
One honest caveat about the number itself: click-through requires somebody to be counting taps. inDM does not track link taps yet, so our own journey reports what was delivered and stops there rather than showing a rate we cannot measure. Any tool quoting you a click-through is running a tracked redirect to produce it.
