Saved replies

Saved replies are short, reusable messages a professional Instagram account stores in the app and inserts into a DM with a shortcut instead of retyping. They are entirely manual: a person still has to open the conversation, pick the reply and send it.

Why it matters for creators

Saved replies are the free, native starting point, and they are genuinely useful up to a point worth naming precisely: they save you typing, not time. Every one still needs a human to open the thread, choose it and hit send.

That distinction is the whole reason DM automation exists. A saved reply scales linearly with your attention — fifty conversations is fifty openings. An automation scales with nothing at all, because the reply fires on a keyword whether or not anyone is at the phone.

The honest advice is to start here. If your inbox is twenty messages a week, saved replies plus Instagram's native auto-reply cover you completely and cost nothing. What Instagram gives you for free sets out where that stops working.
