Superfan

A superfan is a follower who engages with an account far more than average — watching stories, commenting, replying, saving, and buying when there is something to buy. Superfans are a small share of any audience but drive an outsized share of its conversations, referrals, and revenue.

Why it matters for creators

Growth advice tends to fixate on strangers — reach, virality, new followers. Superfans are the other end and the better economics: the fifty people who reply to every story will carry a launch further than five thousand who scrolled past. They buy first, answer honestly, and bring friends.

Superfans are made in the replies. Someone who comments and actually gets an answer — even an automated first touch that leads to a real exchange — remembers it, because most accounts never respond at all. Notice who keeps showing up, and give them somewhere to go: early access, a waitlist, a plain thank-you.
