Superfan
A superfan is a follower who engages with an account far more than average: watching stories, commenting, replying, saving, and buying when there is something to buy. Superfans are a small share of any audience but drive an outsized share of its conversations, referrals, and revenue.
Why it matters for creators
Growth advice tends to fixate on strangers: reach, virality, new followers. Superfans are the other end and the better economics: the fifty people who reply to every story will carry a launch further than five thousand who scrolled past. They buy first, answer honestly, and bring friends.
Superfans are made in the replies. Someone who comments and actually gets an answer, even an automated first touch that leads to a real exchange, remembers it, because most accounts never respond at all. Notice who keeps showing up, and give them somewhere to go: early access, a waitlist, a plain thank-you.
